madden legacy 1.2

hello everyone, and welcome back to the madden legacy!

i say welcome back, but not everyone is entirely... welcome. i lost a couple screenshots that led up to this moment, but the context will make sense in a moment.

though i will say it already makes sense if you take into account bela's traits, as she's both grumpy and evil.

know who this is? here's a hint- the hair color! she's paden's twin sister cherrie, who also happens to be emilio's ex-girlfriend. she was waiting at the restaurant for emilio to meet her, but i guess when cherrie showed up, she couldn't help but take the piss.

boo boo.... i would have actually liked emilio and cherrie as a couple, i'm sure their kids would've been cute, but alas... bela's needs were more important.

i'm not sure if emilio is impressed or not... he doesn't seem to approve of fighting, since he's such a nice guy. his relationship bar with cherrie is actually in the red, too.

bela wanted to make sure she buttered up emilio, because she had an important question to ask him.

first night falling asleep as a couple.... :') they really are so darling.

however.... with emilio moved in, it meant that soon the family would be expanding, and the plot of land that bela's little house sat on was.... too tiny to even be renovated. thus, a move!

and finally, emilio and bela's bedroom! there are a few other rooms as well, but i started to run out of funds, and didn't feel the need to decorate them yet.

as soon as they were settled in, it was time for life as normal for sims- skilling. bela has been working on her martial arts...

... while emilio is more of a music man. his ltw is to master piano, bass, drums, and guitar, so we've got a ways to go.

bela: i asked you something important yesterday, but i have something else i want to ask you, too.

emilio: anything for you, bels.

bela: really? do you promise?

emilio: of course.

bela: i love you. marry me, emilio lucero. let's have our own little family.

he said yes, of course.

cherrie interlude! heavily pregnant, too... the father is matteo whatshisname, so hopefully the bebe is cute. i'll have to keep an eye out for the little sprog.

WEDDING TIME! there's no need for a long engagement, and bela and emilio had plenty of wishes to get on with it.

why... is that man crying?

ah well. weddings never really turn out the way you expect, but at least the grim reaper didn't manage to pop up.

i hope i'm not speaking too soon...

in the end, the pair's wedding went off without a hitch, and then it was time for the honeymoon!

see, this is so sweet... bela doesn't particularly get along with anyone, having a pretty cranky attitude, but at least she does have her honey to make her happy.

and what else is there to do on your honeymoon but get down and dirty?

they booked the trip for... how long is the longest, x2? 15 days i think? and this really is all they did. they were constantly having wishes to roll on top of each other. i guess after taking it so slow for so long, they were pent up.

in between their romps between the sheets, they did enjoy working out together.

i don't know how they managed to have so much energy... to be young, right?

they're technically older than me, but regardless....

meanwhile, when they got back home, it was back to reality.

emilio finds her charming.

bela decided to pick up piano, so she could play instruments with emilio.

i forgot to mention this, but when emilio moved in, he also brought a kitty with him. this is dumpling lucero! i'm not super fond of cats in the sims, but i didn't want to get rid of her either, so here she is. i don't think she'll get a lot of screen time.

BELA??

bela: oh god.... i don't feel well. i think these hotdogs went down the wrong way...

emilio: bela?

emilio: bela, are you alright?

ugh, nasty bastards.

bela: sorry for worrying you... i'm okay.

emilio: good. are you sure? should we go to the doctors?

bela: no, it's already kind of passed, it's alright.

WHY ARE ALL THE NEIGHBORHOOD PETS GATHERING ON MY PORCH?? seriously! they've been coming here for days!

they even come inside and eat all of vanila and dumpling's food!

pet fiasco aside, look who spun into some maternity clothes!

bela: so, do you remember how sick i was awhile back? well... i finally found out the reason why.

bela: and that reason is... that i'm pregnant!

naturally, emilio was thrilled!

emilio: our first baby! they'll be perfect, i know they will. a little bela or emilio jr. running around here... this is amazing. thank you, bela.

even with a baby on the way, vanila and bela are still just as close as ever.

bela: lots of new things are going to happen soon, but just know that mommy will always love you, okay?

vanila: and i love mommy!

during her pregnancy, emilio was fairly fascinated by the baby bump. being the youngest of his batch of kiddos, he had never really seen one.

he didn't have a lot of experience with other kiddos either, but bela had a younger sister, if you remember, since she was a born in-game simmy. she has a little bit of practice.

i doubt she needs to worry that much, though. emilio is pretty excited to be a father.

during bela's pregnancy, emilio had finally gotten to a pretty solid skill level with all of his instruments, and since vanila was getting on in age, it was about time he brought in some dough, so he played bass in the park.

and who else would show up but miss cherrie?

it didn't take long for bela to get stir crazy at home and decide to join emilio- and it's safe to say she wasn't happy. but since she was getting pretty big in the waistband, i tried to keep them a proper distance apart.

that's right, support your man!

cherrie supports him in his own way, even if neither of them like each other very much.

emilio is a good hubby, helping clean things up, and repairing the broken things for his sweet wife.

far, far away though... bela going into labor.

instead of bringing the car around, he decided to... run to her?

ah well... they eventually made it to the hospital.

among a few of the screencaps i lost, emilio aged into an adult, and bela gave birth alone... thanks emilio. and you'll have to wait until next time to see the baby!
